There are two ways to join in 2025. To join in person, please fill in the HFS 2025 Membership Application form in our brochure and bring it with you to any of our Monday night screenings. (Please note new HFS account number on the form.) Or join via one of the online forms at the bottom of this page.

FULL SEASON
$180 (Single Membership) $170 (Tertiary Student / Unwaged / Retired) $60 (Youth / High School Student) Full membership gives you: FREE entry to all Hamilton Film Society 2025 Season films Plus generous discounts at: Lido Cinema Whānau Mārama: New Zealand International Film Festival 12-month membership from date of purchase. If you buy a Full membership in May 2025 for example, you will receive free entry to HFS films until May 2026. Cinema discounts apply until your card's expiry date (stamped on your card). FREE entry to 2025 screenings at other NZ Film Societies Fill in a membership form and join at the door at any HFS screening. Please note new account number on the form and below. 3-FILM SAMPLER: $45
See any three films in the 2025 Season for $45. Plus, 2024 Sampler members who did not use up their cards last year, can use the remaining blank boxes on their card to see HFS films in 2025. The 2025 Sampler is intended to allow new members to try out the film society and to enable people to pay for Full Membership by instalments. Please note that no film festival or cinema discounts apply to Sampler memberships. 3-film Sampler membership gives you: FREE entry to ANY THREE films in the HFS 2025 Season - strictly non-transferable. Valid for admission to Hamilton Film Society screenings only. UPGRADE to Full Membership to receive the Film Festival discount. Just pay the difference between the amount you have spent on 2025 Sampler Cards and the price of a Full membership. UPGRADE to Full Membership before the end of the 2025 Season and receive 12-month membership from the date of purchase of your first 2025 Sampler Card. Most screenings are open to members only, unless otherwise indicated, and censor’s ratings apply.
Sampler memberships give access to any three films but no benefits at the NZIFF or other NZ Film Societies.
